11 Months Old!
This month was a big month for Charlie! He is officially walking!! It was a gradual but rapid process, so while I can't pinpoint the exact date I can say for sure he was fully mobile by 10 1/2 months. Charlie doesn't do anything halfway, so not only is he walking, but he's running, climbing, crawling head first over things, attempting to walk down stairs like a grown up, etc, etc. The joke of the month is "what color will Charlie's forehead be today?" due to the number of falls he takes every day.
This month Charlie has really started eating more "people" food. I feel comfortable giving him pieces of my meal as long as it's chewy. He has quite the appetite and definitely prefers regular food to baby food.
Charlie loves playing outside and enjoys nightly walks in the stroller. Waking up early and playing hard at Brenda's all day has resulted in
a bedtime of 6:45, no joke. We are blessed to have a babe who easily falls into a routine and sleeps well. (However I remember well the months of January-May when he awoke 3-4 times a night)
I love watching Charlie understand and explore new things every day. If I say, "Did you bump your head?" He will pat his head over and over. He loves to say "uh-oh" and "ba ba" (for his blanket and his bottle). He still hates books :), but loves to play with anything that's not a toy...such as baby oil, hair brushes, the toilet seat, pens, etc. etc. The joke of the morning will be what item Charlie grabs and clings to for dear life.
We are so blessed to have such a happy loveable baby boy. He is quickly transitioning from baby to toddler-I don't know if I'm ready for this!
