10 Months Old!

I'm a little late with this post but that's what happens when the school year begins again.  Charlie has been a champion at daycare. I am truly blessed to have the most easy-going child.  I am also beyond blessed to be working at the same school as Chaz.  I love our shared drive to and from work each day.  It give us a chance to process the day so that when get Charlie we can focus our attention on him.  I can't believe this is my fourth year teaching.  It's time to start pondering my master's degree.  I figure there's never going to be a "good" time to get it, so why not now? We will see though...my motivation depends on the day. :)

Charlie is exploding with personality.  He does something funny to make us laugh every day.  Sometimes I can see Chaz's childhood ornery side in him. (especially in Mass when he tries to see how many times he can be passed back and forth between us.) :) Charlie babbles all the time.  He says "Mama", "Dada", and "Baba" for his bottle.  He has recently started saying "uh-uh", which is supposed to be "uh-oh".  He enjoys saying it after (purposely) dropping his spoon on the floor from the high chair.

Here is a list of things Charlie mastered in his tenth month of life:
-Waving, clapping, pointing, high fives
-Standing without holding onto anything. He can stand about ten seconds before he sits (not falls) down.  He is just around the corner from walking.
-Pats his head and my back
-He is the fastest crawler I have ever seen! I think we're in trouble once he can walk.
-He loves eating normal food.  He is kind of 'over' baby food.  Chicken seems to be his favorite.
-At the moment Charlie does not like books.  He gets this hilarious look on his face that says, "why are we doing this?" and tries to shut the book when we try to read to him.  I think he is mostly just anxious for his bottle before bedtime.
-Charlie loves climbing and can now climb stairs.  This one is a little frightening.
-He is finally sleeping all night with a bedtime around 7:00!! It's amazing how quickly he fell into a routine once school started.
-This month Charlie experienced Colorado for the first time! That is a blog post itself because it was quite the adventure.  We were cramped in a small cabin due to bumping it up a week because Chaz had new teacher orientation.  On top of that, Chuck and John had to come in the middle of the week because of baseball, and Charlie and Chaz were sick with a nasty virus most of the time.  Charlie actually made his first ever ER trip because we were worried he had an ear infection.  Thankfully he didn't, but let's just say sleep was hard to come by that week.  The pictures from the trip are still adorable, however!

Here are some of the highlights from the past month, in random order:
