Birthday Fun
Thursday was my 24th birthday. It seemed to come a day early, however, when I awoke Wednesday morning at 5:30 to a phone call. Snow day! What a great feeling. The thought of a snow day never even crossed my mind Tuesday night, but the Good Lord smiled on us teachers in the form of snow while we were sleeping. Unfortunately Chaz still had class, but I was able to catch up on photo organizing, cleaning, blogging, and have a little fun in the kitchen.
I've been wanting to make homemade granola for awhile now. (It's so expensive at the store!) I had all the ingredients and found it really simple to make. We are still enjoying granola from the large batch it made. I will eat it plain, with yogurt, in a smoothie, or with milk as a cereal.

Yum!
Trying to get my "domestic" on. Tilapia for dinner.
On my birthday I came home from work to roses and a sweet note from Chaz.
We ate dinner at Lazlo's in honor of our first date.
After dinner my parents came over for cake. They got me coasters for my birthday. I was so excited! Funny how priorities change in adulthood :)
It was the perfect day.
Friday night my good friends Brittany, Michelle, and Megan celebrated with Chaz and I at Granite City.
After dinner we met up with some other friends downtown at an Irish pub. It was so good to spend time with them.
Chaz was proud to wear his Budweiser sweater. If only his Guinness were in the photo, it would be a picture of his 3 favorite things. :)
23 was a pretty great year for me. I have a feeling it is only going to get better!
