January Beginnings

January has literally flown by.  We are just beginning to live the calm life we have so looked forward to.  In addition to jumping right into work and school following the honeymoon, we have filled our evenings unpacking, organizing, and cleaning.  Changing one's name is no small task! Although I love it every time a new ID or bank card arrives bearing the name "Emily Zurcher," the process has been time consuming and frustrating on occasion, coupled with having to work around my work schedule.  I have learned the hard way that government offices (Ahem, Social Security) are not teacher friendly and offer no mercy when you arrive one minute past closing time.  Nonetheless, it is worth it and exciting too.  As the dust settles now the thank you writing is in full force!
The transition to living together has been smooth and full of joy.  Chaz is the best husband.  Even though I typically leave the house first, he makes it a point to get up with me, warm up my car, and help with my lunch.  It makes going to work much easier knowing I have his support.
We have also had a lot of fun this month hanging out with our family, especially our niece Rosie.  She is growing and changing every day! Here are some fun pictures I took the last time we were all together.
