Things I Never Thought We'd Do...
Last May I accomplished a bucket list goal of mine: run a half marathon. I needed the support and encouragement of my roommates to make it through the long hours of training. I wanted to prove to myself I could do it, but I never thought I would actually enjoy the run, let alone want to do it again! Chaz was always the supporter and encourager, but maintained his personal distaste for running. Well, he's come a long way, and to my own delight has picked up the hobby with me. I enticed him to run in the Buffalo Run at Pioneers Park today-or maybe it was the free running shorts that came with registering...either way, we had a blast this morning completing the five mile run together. I was shocked at our time-a 9:12 minute mile...a PR for me, but more happy that we did it together. And for hardly training and disliking running, Chaz can still kick my butt =)
With the craziness of the new school year, I never blogged about the birth of my sweet niece, Rose Marie. She arrived on August 17th at a healthy 8lb 13oz. Nate, Toni, and Rosie officially make the cutest family ever and we are so blessed to have her with us!
Celebrating with Starbucks :)
I also have to get this in writing- Chaz has verbally committed to running the half-marathon with me in May. Can't wait!

I might be biased, but she might be the most gorgeous little girl I've ever seen. Look at those eyebrows!
Here's a picture from yesterday. Rosie made her first trip to Lincoln and was a trooper as she was passed around ALL day. Thanks Nate and Toni for coming to visit! Love you all!
