Seven Months
Every day brings something new and exciting. This month, Charlie can sit up without any help, he scoots forward and backward on his toosh (which is hilarious to watch), and tries so hard to crawl! I am certain he will be fully mobile by 8 months. In a milestone moment Charlie also pulled himself up on the couch-by himself! Chaz turned away for a minute, and when he looked back, Charlie was standing. At that moment we realized the days of baby proofing everything have begun.
Charlie also sprouted two bottom teeth on Easter! (April 20) The poor guy has been quite the drooler and a bit cranky this month, so once we saw the teeth it brought us the relief that he is making progress in the tooth department.
Charlie still loves every food he has tried, he sometimes prefers to feed himself a bottle, and he drinks water, too! It is funny to watch him develop "wants" instead of just needs. Chaz and I can already see a little ornery side developing, too. I wonder who he learned that from...
Charlie has not been a very good sleeper. He wakes us up anywhere from 2-4 times a night. Sometimes he will go through 3 bottles a night. We take full responsibility for his poor sleep patterns-he rotates between the crib, car seat, and our bed. It's getting a bit cramped in our one bedroom apartment.
Speaking of that....
This month we bought a house! We were so blessed to have the perfect home for us fall in our laps (thanks to Claire via Facebook). It is a cozy little ranch in Eastridge. I am so excited to have a big kitchen, a backyard, a garden, room to spread out, and our own room! We CANNOT wait to move in two weeks and get settled. Lots more to come on that soon...
Finally, a huge life update this month. Chaz and I met our Godson, Giovanni Joseph on May 14th. He is perfect and precious. Nate and Toni are doing great and are adjusting to two kiddos at home. Rose is a proud big sister and Charlie can't wait to have another cousin-buddy to play with. :)
