Planning Madness.
The past two days I have been off work for fall break. It could not have come at a more perfect time as I was in need of a physical and mental break. It could also not have been more perfectly timed for our wedding. 74 days from today I am getting married. Holy cow. It hit me in the face today when I walked into the County Clerk's office with Chaz and got a marriage license. We are one signature from being legal. I am so ready.
Thankfully Chaz has also been on fall break and my awesome mother took off work so we could do some hardcore planning. Yesterday we bought Nick's suit, purchased bridesmaid's gifts, wedding shoes, ordered earrings, met with the wedding coordinator, met with the flowers lady, went to marriage prep, and picked up a bunch of reception decor at Hobby Lobby. Today by 11am we had gotten our marriage license, applied for Chaz's passport, and I had my first alterations appointment. And we picked out a cake! Who knew cake-choosing was so difficult? What a whirlwind!
This past week I ordered invitations, am starting to work on centerpiece decor with my mom, and am gathering addresses like crazy! Planning is definitely getting exhausting, but I would never complain about it. I am so thankful to be marrying the love of my life. What a blessing to be able to coordinate a day-perhaps the only day of my life-when all of our friends and family will be together.
